Plan and Development

The plan and development unit of the “Pooyesh Child friendly Association” started its activities in December 2017. The projects and research projects of this unit were defined according to the requirement s of the association. Three topics are studied and are being studied in this unit.

Evaluation of rural development indicators in Mahmudabad (in collaboration with village officials):

This project is designed with the aim of recognizing the main issues of Mahmudabad village in the socio-cultural and economic-infrastructural fields and its primary concern is to obtain a multifaceted description of different aspects of development in the village.

Assessment of children’s educational status:

The aim of this project is to examine the obstacles and challenges that exist in the way of educating children and paying attention to them can be vital in order to maintain the primary connection of children with formal education. In this regard, we have addressed two issues: – Surveying the situation of school dropout in three villages of Mahmoudabad, Islamabad and Qasemabad. – Assessing the dropout status of public school students.

Research on waste separation fields:

The purpose of this project is to analyze the condition of garages and ditches around the village of Mahmoudabad, assess the needs of children who search in garbage and obtain information for bargaining and negotiation with the authorities. In this regard, the following measures have been taken: In 6 garages, AIDS test was taken randomly and a questionnaire was filled out. Collection of valid data in five categories: demographic data, immigration, education, medicine, nutrition Planning the continuation of research work in three axes: collecting valid quantitative data / prioritizing and assessing the required measures through field training / understanding the mechanisms, mechanisms of organizations related to garages After the end of the first phase of the research in the second half of 2017 and the first half of 2018, based on collecting demographic data from the garbage dump, the children house holding football training classes for children who search in garbage. Football education was chosen for two reasons. 1: the rapid relocation of children from their workplace garages to other garages, as well as their return to Afghanistan, which limits the possibility of continuing education planning; and 2: the lack of leisure time for these children. Unfortunately, after the demolition of the garbage garages, the garage owners did not allow the association to continue the football program.

Other measures taken in the waste management research project were efforts to coordinate and synergize with other non-governmental organizations that worked in this field.
