The preschool unit of “Pooyesh Child friendly Association” started its work in the fall of 2019 with the presence of 60 boys and girls in the morning and evening shifts, according to three main goals in Islamabad village:
The preschool education courses include:
In preschool curriculum plan, in order to strengthen the hand muscles, eye-hand coordination, foster creativity, skills (life, social and health), a lesson is presented every week and activities are defined during it. These activities include playing dough, painting, crafts, sewing, cutting by hand and scissors, picking Lego or stratigraphy, painting with watercolors and shooting yarn, doing group and consulting work, and so on.
Some educational topics are associated with educational and recreational camps; Such as educating street and traffic by attending a traffic park or going to a local park to learn the seasons and nature change. In addition, occasions are celebrated for children, such as the beginning of the school year, Yalda and Nowruz.
To strengthen concentration and dynamic skills in children, purposeful and focused games were planned for children once a week
Another continuous program is “Read with me” (Creative Reading) project, in which high quality children’s books are read to children and provided to them according to the story of the book. The children will engage in related activities such as making masks and performing a theatre so that they can understand themselves or their friends in different roles and situations or draw a picture for it and can make a connection between the story and their images. Sometimes they change the story based on their imagination and give it a different color and smell and create a new story.
Due to the importance of the nutrition as one of the effective factors in children’s learning, hot food (lentils and beans) is distributed to children once every two weeks. Also, in consultation with pediatricians, calcium tablets and milk are given to the children twice a week, and girls receive iron tablets once a week in the iron quarterly program.
